If you wish to have them acknowledge your registration then you must send them a SASE as they do not have the funds for envelopes and postage. Send a message asking that they notify you that they have received your registration.

ISRR does not provide search help. While there are no fees or costs to registrants donations are accepted.

You must fill out and mail a registration form to register a search. The form is available by submitting a self-addressed stamped legal sized envelope to the address above. This form is also available online, see above link. You must be 18 years of age or older to register.

You can not register online and if you see a website saying that you can, be very careful. There was someone doing that some time back only to collect personal information on people.

The form you file remains in force until you request that it be cancelled or notify the ISRR that your search has ended. If a match occurs the program notifies the registrants by phone. If they are not able to reach a person by phone they then send a letter out in the mail.

The ISRR protects the privacy of individuals involved while allowing people to seek and mutually agree to a reunion. The program does not release confidential information to a third party.




ADMINISTRATIVE DESCRIPTION




ISRR is a non-profit organization funded entirely by contributions. It is staffed by volunteers nationally and internationally. Donations are encouraged by everyone who has received help through them.











Special note for Colorado: If you are matched through ISRR it is still a good idea for both of your to also register with the state run Colorado Voluntary Registry to prove the match.
