ADOPTION SEARCH AND REUNION
ADOPTION LAWS - ACTIVISM
As questions come up in different states, the debate heats up over open records. Adoptees are the only people in the US who do not have the right to their original birth certificate. Most who are not a part of the adoption triad don't use the term "original" birth certificate. They have only one and it is real!
There is more to it than just the birth certificate, there is also the question of the adoption files being opened to adult adoptees who want to know more about themselves and their heritage. It is good to keep abreast of what is going on and do whatever you can to help to open all records.
